Platinum and Palladium

Photographs are wonderful illusions. Essentially, they are very small particles fixed to a piece of paper in a meaningful pattern.

In conventional photographs, these particles typically consist of silver, or, in the case of color images, dyes or micro-droplets of pigment. Although these materials are readily available, they chemically react with air and easily fade when exposed to the very phenomenon needed to view them- light.
A Myrold Studios photograph is created from particles of platinum and palladium. Both chemically inert metals simply don't react with air, nor can they be faded by light, ever, making them the ideal medium for incredibly permanent photographs.
